Ava’s Equipment
Here is my equipment I use throughout the day!

This is my Leckey Mygo SeatIt is a dynamic seating system that adjusts many different ways. This chair is great and my mommy can make me go up and down and wheel me around. It’s hight adjustable and almost lowers to to the floor and goes under every table. This is where I sit when I am not in my wheelchair since it has good back support. |

This is my stander!I stand in it for an hour a day and I can push on the wheels to get closer to the TV, for example! My parents say it helps me maintain bone strength and will keep my legs straight and lets my organs do their stuff. |

This is my Panthera Micro Wheelchair which you can buy at MobilityKids.com. I can explore the entire downstairs with since we have gotten wood floor. This chair weighs 8lbs. and I love it. I can push myself everywhere with it and since it is so light my mommy can even bring it to people’s houses. It’s good practise for me to use my arms so that they stay strong as long as possible. |

This is my Euro style bathtub. My mommy got this tub used from the thrift store. She puts it on top of two Ikea stools in the bathtub. This way she doesn’t have to bend down so far when lifting me in and out. This way I can still splash around in the tub with my bath toys which I love. It’s a little wobbly and only she is comfortable giving me a bath in it. |

This is my Tumble Forms Floor Sitter Chair. The Fairfax County Infant and Toddler loaned it to me.I can watch TV with Daddy or play my Little Leaps Game in it on the big TV that Uncle Kevin gave me. |

This is my Flamingo Toilet Chair. It is really soft and cushy and I can have privacy if I want since it fits right over the toilet. It’s also foldable but we haven’t figured out how to do that just yet. |

My Floor “Straddle Sitter”.This is my very first floor sitter that Fairfax County Infant and Toddler loaned to me. I got it when I was 11 months old. I use it on the bed or on the couch when Daddy reads me a story. I can’t fall out of it and this way Mommy can take a shower or bathroom things while I am in it. |

These are my long KAFO leg braces.I need these braces for standing to support my knee joints and to keep my legs straight. My mommy noticed that I was getting “locked knees” after standing with only my short orthopedic shoes since they didn’t give my legs enough support. |

These are my orthopedic shoes. They keep my feet from getting contractures and help keep my feet at an 90 degree angle. Without wearing them my toes sort of drop down which will shorten the tendons over time. |

This is my new TLSO back brace. It makes me sit straight and therefore helps slow down scoliosis which all SMA TypeII kids eventually get. But the later the better since surgery is not fun and I want to grow a little first. |

This is my new SWASH brace.I can sit much better in it and it spreads my hips apart at the right angle to make them go into the hip sockets. I have already slight hip dysplasia meaning my hips are slightly out of their socket because of low muscle tone there. |

This is my bathing chair that Fairfax County Infant and Toddler loaned to me.This chair is waterproof and I can get a shower in it. It’s not as fun as in my tub but it is very safe if somebody else gives me a shower. |

I’m Cielo from the Philippines. I have a 2 year old daughter who was born premature and diagnosed with mild celebral palsy (spastic diplegia). I was looking for a swash brace in youtube and happy to see Ava and Madyson’s videos. We are so inspired and give us confidence for our little Jeshca’s case. We’ll be praying for Ava! God bless!
